CBD Made Easy – What is CBD

What is CBD? CBD can be confusing for first time shoppers.  This very basic guide is designed to take a little bit of the confusion away.  There are comprehensive articles about what CBD is, how it works, and what the different types are.  Links to some of these articles are provided below for those of you that want additional information.

But if you have been told you should try it and just want a simple plan to get started, read on….

Answer these questions first:

  1. Do you want to take an oil orally, eat an edible, swallow a pill, or apply a CBD cream?
  2. Do you care if there are trace amounts of THC in the products you use?  The chances of a drug test failure are infinitesimal with legal CBD products, but if you need to be absolutely sure there is no THC in the products you use, you need to choose broad spectrum or isolate products.  Please note that topical products, even if they contain THC will not absorb into your bloodstream.
  3. Are you attempting to treat a systemic problem or something that is relatively localized?  Systemic issues would be those that are emotional or widespread pain. An example of localized is finger or toe joint pain.
  4. Do you want additional ingredients in your CBD product (herbal supplements, etc.)  or do you prefer to give CBD alone a try?

This chart will provide you with a few recommended products, many with relatively low cost to give CBD a try.  Please note – don’t take a single, tiny dose and decide it doesn’t work for you. In order to give CBD a real try and see CBD effects, you may need to increase your dose after several days.  Like all anti-inflammatory and emotional wellness treatments, CBD may need to accumulate over several days to feel the effects.  Start small and increase if necessary.
